Need Supply Co.

I was really lucky to be apart of the in-house creative team at Need Supply Co. There was so much I learned that I haven’t really had the opportunity to have. I got to go to my first NY Fashion Shows, met so many amazing creatives through events and the blog. We were apart of the moment formerly known as ‘momentswithsunday.’ It was a beautiful, challenging, real time.

Below is only a selection of works that I kept and loved from my time at Need. I moved from production designer learning how to retouch images for e-comm, to graphic designer for the next three years working amongst so many mediums. I learned how to work on a team, how to communicate with my senior designer, creative director, copywriters, photography and styling team. We worked on Human Being Journal, the blog, the instagram. We brought people together through a community online and at our store in Richmond, VA. I loved it as the brand it was and it’s of course evolved as the team I was on all moved onto bigger things.

Working on this team I learned about music, food, places, clothing designers, home goods makers, that I wouldn’t have found otherwise. I become a total pro at type-setting and layout thanks to the master Eric Gilkey. I gained structure and outward thinking thanks to Gabe Ricioppo. I learned about photography, lighting, how to smooth out wrinkles in clothes thanks to Lauren Lyon. We answered questions about how our brand was from the outside, how to create truly interesting and unique designs. I made multiple emails a week for almost four years, updated the imagery on the website to be aspirational and cool. Helped concept for lots of different things. It was all about being apart of a bigger picture. I still never really have felt the way I did then in my life now.

A huge thank you to Gabe, Krystle, Eric, Sam, Lauren, Andrea, Giovanna, Jason, Tag, Rachel, and many more people. Grateful to have been apart of the team that led me to where I am now.
