Existing in Space

I think it’s pretty easy to say Apartamento has been absolutely influential in the world as a beautiful and interesting cult-like magazine. It’s opened the doors of all sorts of makers and creators and inspired through its layout and photography. It is still a beacon of coolness.

Much to my surprise, their studio reached out to me last year to work on a printed piece for the brand, Poliform, an Italian furniture company. Their ask was for abstract pieces in black and white to accompany the photography and forms in the yearly catalogue released by Poliform, as well as prints and a scarf design. I appreciated the project so much, and the exploration of monotone work in my own practice.
